About Lori

My name is Lori Brust and I am a mom of four children.  I am the Local Childcare Coordinator for Cultural Care Au Pair for Seaford, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Farmingdale, Plainview, Bethpage, Syosset, Jericho, Woodbury, Muttontown, Melville and Dix Hills.
I have a large group of au pairs and host families and I have been with Cultural Care for 13 years.  I have my Masters Degree in Education from Dowling College.  I love the Cultural Care Au Pair program for its unique take on international exchange and childcare.  It is a wonderful and cost effective way to get great childcare and light housekeeping help
.
I am dedicated to helping host families find flexible, affordable childcare and helping our aupairs have a wonderful, fullfilling year (or two) with an American family. I am passionate about my role as a Local Coordinator and want you to know that I am here to give support or advice to both host families and aupairs.

Dear Lori:

My name is Daniela and I am close to be an au pair, I am in the matching process nowadays and I would like to find a host family for me in Long Island… anyway, I am open to live in some other city or state, of course, but I would like to know if there is some family from LI that needs an au pair around February.

I suppose you can have access to my application forms and see my profile…

I understand that the most important thing is to find the right family instead of living in a certain place, but if you could help me, I will appreciate it a lot!

Finally, I apologize if this is not a correct way to ask for something like this.

Beforehand, thank you (and sorry!)

Daniela.

Hi Lori,

I still don’t have a new host family even if I have 3 good- really good refernezes. They keep matching me with everything I did NOT ask for.
Are their any families in your group looking for an aupair right now? I have just one more week left and they told me I can’t keep looking even if i have a place to stay, and I really don’t want to go back home.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Lori

I am currently an au pair in NJ, and have notified my host family that I want to extend with a family in long island. I have many friends in LI and would love to spend my second year there.

I need to find a host family for mid october or nov, I dont know how long this may take therefore I want to start looking as early as possible, as I would like to change the criteria I previously had.

I am from South Africa and take care of 3 kids, 4; 2; & 1 yrs old. Since i have had a year of babies and toddlers I would prefer my second year to be more relaxed and breathable. I know i do a great job and my host mother and LCC would agree, but I am hopinh to get just one kid over the age of 6 or maybe two kids over 6yrs.

please let me know if its at all possible for me to find a family.

thank you for your time
Mandy (WYD101634)
