Important Update Regarding the DS2019 Form!!

As of August 10, 2012* au pairs will no longer receive a stamp from U.S. Customs and Border Protection/Department of Homeland Security on their DS-2019 form when they enter the United States. While this change may not impact most au pairs, there may be some state agencies such as the Registry of Motor Vehicles or the Social Security Administration who are not aware of this change and may question why the stamp is not present. In the event that an au pair encounters any issues in this regard, they may contact the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) at 703-603-3400 or via email at SEVP@dhs.gov for assistance.

*please note that in the event an au pair encounters any issues in not having a stamp, they may make an appointment with a local USCIS (United States Customs and Immigration Service) office and obtain a stamp, however this transitional step will end on November 21, 2012. Appointments can be made online: www.uscis.gov
